Moroccan Star Achraf Hakimi Among Nominees for 2021 IFFHS Player of the Year

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is one of the 33 players in the running for the title of best player of the year 2021. The list of candidates has been published by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
On the list of 33 candidate players to win this title of best player of the year 2021, there are 5 Arab players, including Achraf Hakimi. There are Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo or the Egyptian Mohamed Salah. The winner will succeed Robert Lewandowski.
In addition to Achraf Hakimi and Mohamed Salah, the other representatives of the African continent are Ryad Mehrez, Sadio Mané and Kalidou Koulibaly. We also find on the list, Akram Afif who plays at Al-Sadd in Qatar and Ali Mabkhoute who plays at Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates.
