Former Moroccan Prosecutor General Hassan Matar Dies in Casablanca Car Crash

The former prosecutor general near the Court of Appeal of Casablanca died following a traffic accident, according to Said Laajel, communication advisor to the presidency of the public prosecutor’s office.
The accident that cost the life of Hassan Matar occurred on Sunday, January 8 near Casablanca. His vehicle is said to have skidded as he was returning home. The death occurred in the evening.
The former prosecutor general near the Court of Appeal of Casablanca would have succumbed to his injuries at the Cheikh Khalifa University Hospital in Casablanca. Hassan Matar was also an expert at the Higher Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ).
