Former Moroccan Prime Minister El Youssoufi Briefly Hospitalized, Condition Stable

The former secretary general of the Union of Socialist Popular Forces (USFP), Abderrahman El Youssoufi, is hospitalized in one of the clinics in Casablanca. He underwent a medical check-up this Sunday, May 24, 2020, according to his entourage.
More fear than harm! The former prime minister’s health condition is reassuring, reports Le360. According to his entourage, the former Prime Minister should leave the hospital this Sunday, the day of Eid Al Fitr.
While he was hospitalized, his wife Hélène, as usual, remained at his bedside. Abderrahman El Youssoufi’s last public appearance dates back to January 2020 in Fez, where he had presented a second book relating to his political experience. The author of this book is the current president of the Competition Council, Driss Guerraoui.
Three other books recounting his political career had been published in 2018 by his comrade in struggle and on the road under the era of the National Union of Popular Forces (UNFP), M’barek Bouderka. These are texts that notably lift the veil on his appointment in 1998 by the late King Hassan II, as Prime Minister of the first alternation government.
For the record, this alternation under the era of Abderrahman El Youssoufi lasted until 2002.
