Former Moroccan Official’s Home Burglarized: $100,000 and Valuables Stolen

Since last Monday, the court of first instance in Casablanca has been looking into a burglary case. Three individuals are being prosecuted for stealing one million dirhams from the home of a former municipal president.
The burglars, including one of the victim’s uncles, took advantage of the absence of the property owners to commit their crime, reports Akhbar Al Yaoum.
Before taking away the safe in the house, they first damaged the surveillance cameras. In total, they took away one million and forty thousand dirhams, as well as gold jewelry, passports and checks.
The three accused will know the fate that justice reserves for them on Monday. At the request of the lawyer of one of the accused, the hearing was postponed.
