Former Girlfriend and Accomplice Arrested in Murder of Italian Man in Morocco

A young woman and a man, both 25 years old, were arrested on May 18 in Kénitra and Rabat. They are suspected of having planned and murdered an Italian national in his home. Currently, the two suspects are undergoing an investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. On Wednesday, the elements of the judicial police with the support of the crime scene technicians discovered the lifeless body of the victim in his apartment in Kénitra.

The preliminary investigation reveals that this premeditated murder is motivated by theft. The investigators also discovered that the young woman arrested had had a former relationship with the victim and a man of her acquaintance. The search of their respective homes made it possible to discover and seize a suitcase belonging to the victim, as well as sums of money in national and foreign currencies.
