Dutch Fugitive Wanted for Attempted Murder Arrested in Morocco

The Regional Brigade of the Judicial Police (BRPJ) of Fez arrested on Wednesday, August 9, a Dutch national, the subject of an Interpol red notice.
Wanted for attempted homicide with a firearm as part of a criminal network, the individual was located in Meknes. He was in possession of false documents attesting to his Belgian nationality, allowing him to evade the authorities.
The arrest was carried out thanks to precise information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST). Aged 43, the suspect is accused by the Dutch judicial authorities of attempted voluntary homicide within an organized crime network, using a firearm.
This operation is part of Morocco’s international security cooperation against cross-border crime, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
