Food Poisoning Outbreak in Morocco: Dozens Hospitalized After Eating at Local Snack Bar

In Settat, about thirty people found themselves in the hospital after eating sandwiches in a snack bar. The gendarmerie elements opened an investigation following this food poisoning.
In total, 27 people were victims of food poisoning after eating sandwiches in the same snack bar, in the commune of Tlat Leoulad, in the Settat region, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. Suffering from vomiting, stomach aches and dizziness, they were admitted to the Ben Ahmed hospital. Those whose health condition is serious were transferred to the Hassan II provincial hospital in Settat. After receiving the necessary care, most of them returned home. Eleven of them were kept under medical supervision due to the severity of their case.
The gendarmerie elements collected the testimonies of some of the victims. After which, they opened an investigation. In parallel, the health authority teams dispatched to the site are analyzing in detail the sample taken from the food consumed.
