Moroccan Lawmaker Hospitalized After Suspected Food Poisoning in Ksar El Kébir

Zineb Simou, deputy of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) was a victim of food poisoning after eating in a small restaurant in Ksar El Kébir.
The parliamentarian was admitted to the hospital on the night of Monday to Tuesday, August 2, due to severe abdominal pain and vomiting, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribiya.
These discomforts would have been caused by a sandwich she ate on her return from a tour of the douars affected by the forest fires that occurred in the province of Larache, the newspaper points out.
After treatment, the elected official is now out of danger, although she remains under observation. On her Facebook account, Simou wrote that her condition was stable, thanking the hospital staff who took care of her.
