Five Arrested in Morocco for Social Media Video Inciting Sports Fan Violence

Violence between sports club supporters remains a reality with its share of consequences. The elements of the Martil police station arrested, on Monday evening, 5 people including 3 minors. In a video relayed on social networks, we clearly see them insulting and calling for the aggression of the supporters of a sports club.

In the video relayed on social networks and which, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), is a serious attack on the supporters of a sports club, we see individuals, with a threatening air, with knives in hand, insulting and calling for violence against the supporters.

According to the MAP, the competent authorities opened an investigation which led to the arrest of the persons involved in these criminal acts. The minors who were part of the gang were placed under control.

Unlike them, the older ones were placed in custody pending the conclusion of the investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this case and to identify all the criminal acts that this gang of individuals could have committed.

According to the same source, the DGSN makes the fight against violence in the sports world a mission to be achieved at all costs. And the arrest of the 5 individuals sounds like a strong signal.
