Moroccan Police Arrest Two Suspects in Oujda Drug Trafficking Operation

The Prefectural Service of the Judicial Police of Oujda proceeded, on Saturday, October 5, to the arrest of two individuals aged 39 and 41 years old. They are suspected of being involved in a case of possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
Based on precise information from the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), the Police conducted investigations.
While the first suspect played the role of intermediary, he was arrested in possession of 320 grams of chira and on board a car bearing false license plates, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to the same source, the second suspect was arrested during a simultaneous security operation in Beni Drar, which, after the search of the suspect’s home in Douar Oulad Taher, in the commune of Beni Khaled, made it possible to seize 556 kg of cannabis resin.
Pending the elucidation of all the circumstances of this case and the arrest of any individuals involved in these criminal acts, the two suspects have been taken into custody.
