Fiorentina Rejects Barcelona and Man United Bids for World Cup Star Amrabat

Sofyan Amrabat’s agent, Mohamed Sinouh, confirmed that Fiorentina had rejected offers from Barcelona and Manchester United for his player during the winter transfer window.
"We received many offers during the winter transfer window, including one from Manchester United, but we couldn’t finalize the deal," he told Kora Plus, quoted by Calciomercato.com.
He also explained that Fiorentina had rejected Barcelona’s offer, as the Moroccan player represented added value for the team after his performances at the World Cup: "The president of Fiorentina refused to sell him at that time, as he represented added value after what he had done at the World Cup."
The 26-year-old Moroccan player has played 96 matches with the Tuscan team since his arrival in 2020. His contract with Fiorentina expires in June 2024. "We don’t have any offers for the summer, at least for now, but Fiorentina will listen [to offers]. This is a promise they made after the president refused all the offers in the winter transfer window," Sinouh said.
Last January, Amrabat deliberately skipped a training session with the Italian club. According to Spanish journalist Toni Juan Marti, the 26-year-old player was "devastated" and "hurt" after the Viola’s refusal of the FC Barcelona offer. "Go now. The future is promised to no one," Sofyan had posted in an English post on his Instagram account.
