Liverpool Renews Pursuit of World Cup Star Sofyan Amrabat for Midfield Boost
After attempting to recruit him during the winter transfer window, Liverpool are coming back for the Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, one of the revelations of the World Cup in Qatar with Morocco.
Sofyan Amrabat is still in Liverpool’s sights as they seek to strengthen their midfield. The Reds are planning to secure the services of the Moroccan international this summer. In January, they had made an unsuccessful offer. They are not the only ones wishing to sign the Fiorentina midfielder. Manchester United also expresses the same wish. These two clubs were also among the suitors of the 26-year-old player during the winter transfer window. "Yes, we received more than one offer during the last winter transfer period, and in addition an offer from Manchester United, but the negotiations did not come to fruition at that time," says Amrabat’s agent, Mohamed Sinouh, quoted by Kora Plus.

Fiorentina would have asked for £43.8 million to let Sofyan leave in January. But the leaders of Old Trafford were not, according to his agent, able to conclude a deal and turned to other targets like Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich.
