Fiorentina Eyes World Cup Standout Sabiri in Potential Winter Transfer
Moroccan international Abdelhamid Sabiri, who currently plays for Sampdoria, is on Fiorentina’s radar, who could sign him this winter. Negotiations are still ongoing.
The creative midfielder was remarkable during the 2022 World Cup. Since then, he has been the target of several European clubs, including Fiorentina, who expressed interest from the player’s first appearances.
According to La Nazione, the Italian club is determined to recruit the Moroccan midfielder, despite the increase in his market value since the end of the World Cup.
To secure the services of the 26-year-old player, Viola made an offer of 5 million euros plus the Moroccan player Youssef Maleh or the Pole Szymon Żurkowski, but Sampdoria did not accept this offer, the same source specifies.
