FIFA Allows Summer Transfers to Finish Season with Current Clubs
Ruling on the case of players at the end of their contract, FIFA authorizes players sold this summer to complete the season in their previous clubs.
According to AD, players are required to comply with this measure, even in the event of a planned transfer or scheduled end of contract. This decision was made following discussions with the players’ union and the European Club Association.
While this decision is appreciated by some football stakeholders, others acknowledge that FIFA cannot force any club or player to comply with this logic.
In this regard, Hakim Ziyech can continue the season peacefully in the Netherlands with Ajax and even beyond July 1, if Chelsea, Ajax and the player agree. The only concern at this level is the club that will pay his salary and what would happen if he was injured.
