Female Official in Morocco Goes Viral for COVID-19 Awareness Efforts

Videos of a woman caïd in Safi, engaged in the fight against coronavirus, have gone viral on social media. Internet users have woven laurels for this woman who is striving to raise awareness among the population in general and the inhabitants of her region in particular about the virus.
Dressed in her green uniform, Houria stands next to a service vehicle. Using a microphone, she raises awareness among the population of Safi about the preventive measures to be adopted to counter the COVID-19 pandemic. "Women, keep your children at home. Stay at home. Children, take out your books and study. Visit the websites where your courses are available and study. Learn new languages," she advises.
"Why are you laughing? People are dying and you are laughing. Go home," Houria says. The commitment and dedication of this woman caïd have been praised by Internet users. They have issued very encouraging comments.
In Morocco, as of March 24, there are 170 people infected with the coronavirus, including 5 deaths and 6 recoveries.
