Morocco Declares State of Emergency as COVID-19 Cases Rise; Citizens Urged to Stay Home

Morocco has declared a state of emergency in an attempt to limit the number of infections, which, despite preventive measures, continues to increase. Internet users are joining the fight with a call to all Moroccans to choose the path of reason by staying at home.
"Stay at home", because it is the only remedy to avoid transmission by direct contact. Prevention is better than cure, according to health professionals. "Have this responsible attitude to ensure your life and that of your entourage; trust the authorities and do not leave your home." This is a call launched by Internet users on social networks to raise awareness among the population about the importance of general health confinement in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
The initiators of the hashtag "Stay at home" want to follow the example of Moroccan stars like Said Taghmaoui, Fnaire, Aminux, Saad Lmajarad, Asmaa Lemnnawar, Douzi, Fatima Zahra Laaroussi, Lamia Zaidi, Issam Kamal, Saida Charaf, Zakaria Ghafouli, Salma Rachid, Badr Hari, and many others, who use their notoriety to call for a general mobilization at all levels of society.
The time has come for solidarity and awareness. "Civic-mindedness is an essential value in these times of crisis. Be responsible and stay at home. There is nothing to lose but everything to gain."
In Morocco, until Sunday evening, the number of confirmed cases reached 115, announced the Ministry of Health on its website www.covidmaroc.ma.
