Fatal Stabbing in Barcelona Suburb Leaves Young Moroccan Man Dead
A terrible incident took place on the night of Saturday to Sunday in Badalona, in the Barcelona region. According to information provided by the authorities, a fight between two individuals of Moroccan origin degenerated into a violent brawl in the public thoroughfare, which cost one of them his life.
The security forces were alerted by a call reporting a fight between two individuals shortly after 3 a.m., reports El Debate. The Mossos d’Esquadra, the Catalan autonomous police, quickly dispatched a patrol to the scene to find a seriously injured victim by a knife.
Despite the rapid intervention of the emergency services, the victim, a Moroccan, unfortunately did not survive his injuries. According to the initial findings of the police, the individual suspected of having dealt the fatal blow would be another 27-year-old Moroccan citizen. Thanks to the collaboration of witnesses to the scene, the security forces were able to identify and arrest the suspect shortly afterwards.
The arrested man is currently being held in the premises of the Catalan autonomous police, where he is being questioned by the investigators. He is suspected of voluntary homicide.
