Family to Sue After Teen’s Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Argenteuil, Police Cleared

At the end of the investigation into Sabri’s death in Argenteuil, the theory of a collision between the police and the young man was ruled out. Sabri’s family lawyers, 18 years old, who died on Sunday morning after a motorcycle accident, want to bring the case to court.
The family’s counsel made this decision so that "the circumstances of Sabri’s death are elucidated," reports Le Parisien.
According to the accident expert, the police vehicle would not bear any trace of impact. In view of the initial objections, the theory of a chase between the deceased and the police was also ruled out. Moreover, the four BAC police officers were rather on their way to Sannois and would not have been the subject of a special request for intervention at the time of the events, it is indicated.
For Maîtres Lucie Simon and Camille Vannier, in addition to the expertise of the various vehicles present on the spot, the exploitation of the radio communications of the various BAC teams, but also of those of the police and the rescue services seems essential to them. They also demand that the results of the expertise be communicated to the family.
While the family’s lawyers are warning of a "risk of evidence dissipation," since the accident scene has not been frozen, an autopsy has been requested by the Pontoise public prosecutor’s office. For the time being, the forensic examinations indicate a death from the consequences of a cranio-facial trauma due to the impact against the concrete post.
Furthermore, the other important fact reported by the police officers is that the victim was driving at high speed and would have veered onto the sidewalk to continue his journey on a poorly lit and narrow street.
