Family Rampage at Moroccan Hospital After Patient’s Death Sparks Investigation

The Moulay Ismail hospital in Kasbat Tadla was stormed by members of a family last Friday, following the announcement of the death of their relative by the medical staff.
Total anarchy reigned within the premises, starting with the destruction of office furniture, medical equipment, as well as doors and windows of the establishment.
Police units from the city were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation was opened under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to determine those responsible for these acts of vandalism.
For its part, the regional delegation of the Ministry of Health issued an official statement on the incident, in which it condemns the destruction of medical equipment and furniture, particularly in the emergency services.
"The administrative establishment reserves the right to bring the matter before the courts and to prosecute those involved, at the end of the investigation conducted by the public prosecutor’s office," the statement added.
