Exhausted Moroccan Migrant Rescued from Sea Near Ceuta

A young Moroccan, a candidate for immigration, who was trying to reach Ceuta by swimming, found himself exhausted before reaching the shore. He was saved just in time by walkers.
The incident occurred in the waters of the southern bay of the city, the Civil Guard tells EFE. The distressed Moroccan at sea was spotted by a group of people who went to his rescue with jet skis.
The Moroccan was then brought back to shore on a rubber boat, before being transferred to the headquarters of the maritime service of the Civil Guard. From there, he was evacuated by ambulance to the university hospital for examination and medical care. He will be placed in quarantine, in compliance with the health protocol in force to fight against Covid-19.
