Moroccan Migrant Rescued at Sea Near Ceuta, Spain

The crew members of the "Passió Per Formentera" located on Monday a young man of Moroccan origin, a candidate for immigration, who arrived by swimming on the coast of Ceuta. He was transferred to the port of Ceuta and handed over to the Civil Guard agents.
The presence of the young man, who was clinging to a surfboard in the open sea, was noticed by the crew members of the "Passió Per Formentera", reports Salvamento Marítimo to El Faro de Ceuta. After his rescue, the Moroccan was taken care of by the Red Cross, and in accordance with the protocol in force, will have to spend a few days in quarantine.
Another migrant would also have been spotted at sea, informs the same source, who adds that all means have been mobilized by Salvamento Marítimo at sea to try to locate him. But the search, which lasted for hours, yielded nothing.
At the beginning of last week, thousands of Moroccans illegally entered Ceuta, causing a migration and diplomatic crisis between Morocco and Spain.
