Evenepoel Tour Victory: Oumi Rayane Shuts Down Critics
Oumi Rayane, the Moroccan-born wife of Remco Evenepoel, savored the Belgian’s latest Tour de France victory. She took the opportunity to send a message to critics of the rider.
Present with Remco Evenepoel’s parents during the time trial of the 16th stage, Oumi Rayane admits she experienced the race with tension despite her husband’s favorite status.

"People think victory will necessarily go to Remco, but still…", she confided. She also regretted the fall of Florian Lipowitz, which heightened the concerns of those close to him during the descents.
After the victory, Oumi Rayane especially emphasized the efforts made by the Belgian champion. "He has made many sacrifices these past months. I’m happy he feels good," she declared to VTM.
She believes, however, that the Tour is far from over, with several difficult stages still awaiting the riders.
