Remco Evenepoel victorious: Oumi Rayane experiences the emotion live

In the eyes of his wife Oumi Rayane, Remco Evenepoel won a crucial victory on Wednesday during the time trial of the Tour de France in Caen.
The Belgian rider won, marking his second success on the Grand Tour. This performance allows him to climb to second place in the general classification, only 42 seconds behind the yellow jersey, Tadej Pogacar.
The tension was palpable just after the finish line, especially for Oumi Rayane. Seeing Tadej Pogacar finish his race 16 seconds behind her husband, she turned to him and asked: "It’s official, isn’t it?". With a smile, Remco Evenepoel calmed her impatience by reminding her that a major competitor was still in the race: "Mathieu still has to arrive". The final verdict came a few minutes later, confirming the Belgian’s victory.
When asked about the consequences of this result, Remco Evenepoel reaffirmed his ambition to reach the final podium in Paris, while remaining measured. "We’ve made a good first step in that direction, but the road is still very long and everyone knows what awaits us in the next two weeks," he commented.
