A 46-year-old European national, whose nationality has not been disclosed, was arrested on Wednesday at Tangier International Airport in possession of 6 kg of cannabis resin.
According to sources cited by Alyaoum24, the man was about to board a flight to London when security agents discovered the drug hidden in his luggage.
During routine checks, the scanner revealed the presence of suspicious substances in the passenger’s suitcase. A manual search then allowed the discovery of 6 kg of cannabis resin, packaged in slabs and carefully wrapped in adhesive tape.
The suspect was handed over to the Regional Directorate of the Judicial Police of Tangier, which opened an investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
