Emirates Extends Ticket Validity, Offers Flexible Rebooking Options Amid Travel Uncertainty

Emirates airline is implementing a "simplified approach" for booking changes and ticket refunds issued in all its global markets. According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the company is focusing on three options regarding pre-booked summer travel, tickets issued before May 31, 2020 and travel planned before August 31, 2020.
According to the press release, the customer can keep their ticket for 760 days. For this first case, "all Emirates tickets booked before May 31 for travel until August 31 will automatically be extended by 760 days". The customer can also obtain a ticket against travel vouchers valid for a maximum of 2 years. "Customers holding these tickets can be assured that their tickets will be honored and they can book them again when they decide to travel".
The third part gives the customer the possibility to benefit from a full refund of unused travel vouchers or tickets. The company specifies that "those who wish to book their tickets to travel to another region can also do so", as Emirates will not charge any reissue fees, except for the applicable fare difference.
The company also announced that it will facilitate the process of requesting these options online through a simple form for all customers. Customers who have booked through their travel agencies must contact their agents for assistance, as the same waiver policies also apply to them.
