Qatar’s Emir Celebrates Morocco’s Historic World Cup Quarterfinal Berth
Unconditional support for the Atlas Lions, The Emir of Qatar was seen celebrating with Moroccan supporters the qualification of Morocco for the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
Present at the three previous matches of the Atlas Lions, Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, followed the match between Morocco and Spain. He was seen waving the Moroccan flag, showing his support for the only Arab team still in the running. He also offered thousands of entry tickets to the supporters.
At the end of the match that sends Morocco to the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the first time in its history, Sheikh Tamim celebrated this historic feat, thanking Yassine Bounou and his teammates for honoring the Arab world.
