Emergency rescue Italian cyclists Morocco mountains
Two Italian tourists were rescued at the last moment by the Royal Gendarmerie in the mountains between Al Haouz and Ouarzazate. Caught off guard by a sudden drop in temperatures during a cycling trip, they were quickly evacuated.
The adventure nearly turned tragic for two Italian nationals aged 24 and 25. While undertaking a two-wheeled journey, the young men found themselves trapped by the cold. The incident occurred in the Tizi n’Oulaoun area, at the boundary of the Telouet municipality, according to information reported by Hespress. This sector, located between the provinces of Al Haouz and Ouarzazate, is known for its particularly rugged terrain and its very harsh weather conditions at nightfall or dawn.
