Egypt-Morocco Trade Surges 26% as Economic Ties Strengthen

The Ambassador of Egypt to Morocco, Achraf Ibrahim, welcomed the quality of exchanges in the economic, political, commercial and cultural fields between Egypt and Morocco. At a reception organized in Rabat, on the sidelines of Egypt’s National Day, Achraf Ibrahim said he was pleased with the good cooperation between the two countries.

The Egyptian diplomat pointed out that the volume of these exchanges, specifically in the commercial field, reached around $700 million at the end of 2018, a clear increase of 26% compared to 2017. According to the ambassador, this performance reflects the willingness of business community players to increase and boost bilateral trade exchanges.

With a view to strengthening bilateral relations at various other levels, a message signed by King Mohammed VI, addressed to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sissi, was handed over to Sameh Choukri, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, for transmission.
