Egypt Streamlines Visa Process for Moroccan Fans Ahead of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations

The Egyptian Ambassador to Rabat, Achraf Ibrahim, announced that the visa issuance deadlines for Egypt have been reduced to three days. He thus invited all those wishing to attend the 2019 CAN to submit their application through the institution’s electronic portal or on Facebook.
For two months, the Egyptian Embassy has set up a team of employees from the consular and information services, in order to facilitate the granting of entry visas to Egypt for Moroccan citizens, journalists and press delegates.
Since the announcement by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) of the organization of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) by Egypt, the country "is working to present an exemplary and successful image, taking into account the importance, at the continental and international levels, of the competition, knowing that the scale of the television audience could reach 2.1 billion viewers," added the Ambassador.
Since February 2019, Egypt has been involved in the preparation of this cup, through the establishment and development of its infrastructure, in particular the sports complexes, in addition to the management of the economic, tourist and commercial aspects related to the event.
