Morocco Fans Gear Up for 2019 Africa Cup of Nations: Visa and Ticket Guide

On June 23, the competition will begin for the "Atlas Lions", with a first match against Namibia. Placed in a difficult group, the Moroccan national team will certainly need its supporters to face the Ivorians and the South Africans.
Regarding the visa for Egypt, you will need to fill out an online form. Once the validation is received by email, you must go to the Embassy in Rabat, with your valid passport of at least six months, two photos with a white background and 450 dirhams for the fees. For Moroccans with a European passport, visas are issued in Egypt for 500 Egyptian pounds.
As for the match tickets, they are classified by category. The first is estimated at 281 dirhams, the second at 168 dirhams and the third at 56 dirhams, knowing that a ticket gives you the right to two matches, in the same stadium.
Royal Air Maroc has scheduled 82 flights (Casablanca-Cairo) for the first round of the 2019 CAN. Round-trip airline tickets are offered at 3,000 dirhams for a return the next day, and 4,000 for flexible.
For your travels, know that taxi prices depend on your bargaining power. Well negotiated, a trip to the city center can cost between 80 and 100 dirhams. Otherwise, the trips are billed at 1.5 dirhams per kilometer. The price of a metro or bus ticket is set at 5 Egyptian pounds, or 3 dirhams.
If you choose to find accommodation for the occasion, the prices of a double room vary between 300 and 900 dirhams per night, depending on the neighborhoods of the city. As for catering, you have a wide choice depending on tastes and budgets. Restaurants display rates of 300 to 500 dirhams, while you can always compose with light meals at 25-80 dirhams.
SIM card prices are more affordable downtown than at the airport, where they are twice as expensive. Prices range from 60 to 140 for a 4G SIM card with recharge.
Finally, don’t forget to always keep your passport with you, due to the many checkpoints in the city.
