EasyJet Launches New London Gatwick to Agadir Route, Boosting UK-Morocco Connections

Agadir Airport is strengthening its network to or from London with a new route, London Gatwick-Agadir, operated by Easyjet.
Since November 8, the airline is offering four weekly frequencies, with a target of seven frequencies per week in 2023, says Abdel Majid Bakiz, director of Agadir-Al Massira airport, specifying that his airport platform wants to regain the pre-covid figures.
In this sense, the British market is one of its priority markets, said the official, according to whom "the city of Agadir will thus strengthen its integration into the British market in addition to the flights already served from Agadir airport including Manchester, London Heathrow, London Stagnated, Dublin, Luton".
According to the figures of the management, the Agadir-Al Massira airport recorded 1,404,129 passengers at the end of October, i.e. a recovery rate of 83% compared to the year 2019, while the national average is around 70%.
In addition to London, Agadir intends to focus on the Netherlands, Eastern European countries, Portugal, the Middle East, Russia and Central Asia, to develop its connectivity. Meanwhile, the winter season 2022-2023 at Al Massira airport will total some 144 flights per week from 11 foreign source markets.
