Dutch ’Voice’ Coach Ali B Fired Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Moroccan-Dutch rapper Ali B, coach of The Voice of Holland, was fired after two complaints of sexual assault were filed against him. The talent show’s group leader is also targeted by the same allegations.
Dutch broadcaster RTL has fired Ali B, following the filing of two complaints of sexual assault with prosecutors. "I am 100% convinced of my innocence. The allegation concerns something that happened a long time ago and is not true," the coach said in an interview with De Telegraaf. "Many things are unclear, but one thing is certain: Ali has never abused his position and has never displayed sexually inappropriate behavior," reacted the rapper’s manager on his Instagram account.
Also targeted by these allegations of sexual assault, The Voice of Holland group leader Jeroen Rietbergen, has resigned. Unlike Ali B., he admitted to "sexual contacts with women involved in the program and sexually explicit WhatsApp messages".
In the wake of this, RTL has suspended the current season of the show.
