Drunk Vandal Terrorizes Tangier Neighborhood, Targets Expat-Owned Vehicles

Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie arrested on Thursday in the Gzenaya area, on the outskirts of Tangier, an individual in a state of drunkenness threatening to attack the residents of a neighborhood and damage their property.
The defendant was arrested following a theft and acts of vandalism targeting three cars in the Hassani 3 complex, belonging to Moroccans residing in Spain, France and Belgium.
After his arrest, the suspect was brought before the judge who ordered his detention, pending the conclusions of the investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.
For some time now, people in a state of drunkenness have been gathering near this complex, uttering insults and exchanging vulgar remarks, worries Achkayen. This situation disturbs the peace of the residents who have filed several complaints with the authorities.
