Drunk Driver Rams 4 People at Agadir Police Checkpoint After Road Rage Incident

The driver of a rental car violently hit four people who had gotten out of their vehicle to complain about his lack of road courtesy at the police checkpoint in Agadir.
It all started with a dispute between the occupants of two cars, who each felt they had priority, on Boulevard du 20 août near Place Bijouane. The first vehicle contained two people in a state of intoxication and the second vehicle, four people, including a young girl, also in a state of inebriation.
The occupants of the two vehicles continued to hurl insults at each other on the road until they reached the police checkpoint. While the four occupants of the second vehicle got out to complain about the bad driving of the first vehicle, the passenger in the latter took the driver’s seat and rammed into them violently before fleeing.
Thanks to the quick action of the police officers, the vehicle was caught and the driver arrested. The victims were taken in critical condition to the Hassan II Regional Hospital. An investigation has been opened to determine the motives and circumstances of this incident.
