Dramatic Rescue: Hikers Saved from Snowy Mount Tidghine After Facebook Distress Call

Two hikers saved in the nick of time on Mount Tidghine. Their distress call recorded in a video broadcast live on Facebook allowed the residents, and later the rescue services, to come to their aid.
They are Khaled and Isamel, two hikers who have no knowledge of the trails of Mount Tidghine. As a result, they found themselves stuck during the ascent of the Tidghine massif, the highest peak of the Rif mountain range.
Poorly equipped, they were surprised by the snow. But they had the good idea to film themselves. Through the video posted on Facebook, we could see that Isamel, one of the hikers, was seriously injured. Their distress call was relayed by Internet users for several hours.
To reassure the Internet users who were worried about the two stranded hikers, the president of the Tanger-Tétouan Al-Hoceima region, Fatima El Hassani, confirmed on her Facebook account that the two young men had been rescued.
