The man slit his own throat after inflicting several knife wounds on his Moroccan partner at the family home, in front of their minor child, according to the Valencian Civil Guard command. The couple was in the process of getting divorced, but no previous complaint for gender-based violence had been filed against the man, according to sources close to the investigation cited by EFE.
