Domestic Violence Suspect Flees to Morocco, Arrested Upon Return to France

A resident of Fortschwihr (France) wanted for domestic violence has fled to take refuge in Morocco. Arrested upon his return three weeks later, he was tried on Friday in immediate appearance.
The defendant escaped the gendarmes who had gone to arrest him at his workplace, before fleeing to Morocco from where he returned three weeks later, reports L’Alsace.
He is accused by his wife of domestic violence, including kicks and punches to the head during an argument that occurred on September 29. In mid-October, she retracted her statements. The man was tried on Friday in immediate appearance.
