Disruptive Passenger Forces Emergency Landing on Agadir-Lyon Flight

An unusual incident disrupted a flight from Agadir to Lyon this week. Due to the "extremely disruptive" behavior of a passenger, the crew was forced to request an emergency diversion to Malaga airport.
According to the Spanish air traffic controllers, the individual did not comply with the crew’s instructions, thus requiring a rapid intervention. The airport authorities in Malaga were immediately alerted and set up a specific reception system to manage this delicate situation. Once the plane landed, the police intervened to restrain the disruptive passenger.
"We have done everything to ensure the safety of all passengers and the crew," the air traffic controllers said on social media. They also highlighted the exemplary coordination between the various stakeholders involved, from the crew to the control tower and the police services.
