Ryanair Flight Diverts Landing After Mid-Air Altercation Over Bathroom Use

A Ryanair flight from Rabat had to interrupt its landing at Malaga-Costa del Sol airport on Sunday after a fight broke out on board.
The plane had begun its landing when a passenger assaulted a flight attendant who had prevented her from going to the toilet. The incident forced the crew to interrupt the landing and wait for calm to return, the air traffic controllers reported on X.
The air traffic controllers asked the plane’s crew to make a detour east to allow them to coordinate with Malaga airport the intervention of the police as soon as the aircraft landed and the care of any injured passengers, relays La Opinion de Malaga.
Ten minutes later, the crew informed that the situation was under control and that they were ready to land. The air traffic controllers then authorized the aircraft to land on the Malaga airport runway, without incident. The controllers apologized to the passengers who had to "endure these increasingly frequent situations".
