US Deputy Secretary of State to Visit Morocco on Middle East and Europe Tour

Wendy Sherman, US Deputy Secretary of State, will travel to Morocco in the coming days as part of a tour covering the period from March 4 to 10.
Wendy Sherman is starting an international tour this Friday. She is expected in Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey, from March 4 to 5, where she will meet with Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal and other officials to "discuss Vladimir Putin’s premeditated, unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine". The US Deputy Secretary of State will then travel to Madrid, from March 6 to 8, to co-chair the US-Spain Cybersecurity Dialogue.
After the Spain stage, her entourage will head to Morocco. In a statement, the US State Department said that Wendy Sherman will travel to Rabat and Casablanca, leading the US delegation to participate in the Moroccan-American strategic dialogue on regional political issues. During this visit, she will meet with Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and other senior Moroccan officials. The number two of American diplomacy will also participate in an event for International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8.
Wendy Sherman will end her tour in Algeria. She will discuss bilateral and regional issues with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on March 9. The next day, she will meet with Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra. She will also have to lead the American delegation for the fifth American-Algerian strategic dialogue.
