Death Toll Rises to 11 in Nador Tainted Alcohol Tragedy, Two Others Blinded

The number of deaths due to adulterated alcohol poisoning in Nador is now 11, while two others have lost their sight.
The health condition of a hospitalized person has deteriorated, before he died, bringing the number of victims to 11. The facts date back to Sunday, August 15 in Nador and neighboring municipalities.
Following the consumption of an expired alcoholic product, ten people died on the spot, and their companions were urgently transported to the hospital in serious condition. One of them died and two others unfortunately lost their sight.
Furthermore, the investigations and inquiries carried out by the judicial police made it possible to arrest nine grocery store managers who would be involved in this case, the DGSN said.
Nearly a thousand plastic bottles containing denatured alcohol, as well as about ten empty bottles that had contained the same substance, were seized, the DGSN said.
