Death Toll Rises for Moroccan Residents in Spanish Floods

The toll of Moroccan victims in the recent floods that hit the Valencia region in Spain has just worsened, according to the Moroccan consulate.
According to a still provisional assessment, five Moroccans died in these floods and several others are still missing. Their list was revealed by the Moroccan diplomatic representation.
The consular authorities claim to have contacted the families of the victims and are working to organize the repatriation of the bodies to Morocco. Unfortunately, ten other members of the Moroccan community are still reported missing.
Faced with this tragedy, the consulate quickly reacted by setting up a crisis unit to provide support and assistance to those affected by this drama.
Moroccans residing in Spain and affected by the bad weather can contact the crisis unit via two telephone numbers: (+34) 631 93 58 18 and (+34) 631 71 18 73, in particular to report any disappearance.
