Deadly Stabbing Over Cigarettes Shocks Moroccan City of Beni Mellal

A man in his forties took his last breath at the regional hospital in Beni Mellal after being stabbed several times in various parts of his body. This happened last Friday.

Several "friends" were, according to Alyaoum24, drinking together when one of them, because of a pack of cigarettes, threw himself at another with the apparent intention of taking his life, and several stabs were then inflicted by the criminal.

The victim was taken to the hospital. But the hemorrhage was so severe and the blows so deep that they could not save him. The body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy.

The Royal Gendarmerie was able to arrest the main suspect. But the other witnesses, potential witnesses, are still being sought by the authorities.
