The civil protection of the capital of Souss, Agadir, would have warned citizens about the imminent danger of snakes and scorpions that were likely to come out. A snake has terrorized a neighborhood. And a 6-year-old child was killed by a snake bite.

The very high temperatures would be the cause of the increase in the risk of snake and scorpion bites in Agadir since these animals are coming out of their usual habitats. Some residents of the Charaf neighborhood have experienced this. A snake has terrorized the population, who had to call the civil protection to get rid of it.

Last Sunday, moreover, a 6-year-old child died in the resuscitation room of the Agadir hospital after being bitten by a venomous snake, according to the media Goud. Attempts to save him were unsuccessful.

Among other advice regarding what to do during the great heat, the civil protection of the city of Agadir advised citizens to be wary of snakes and scorpions that were likely to seek a little coolness in homes and plantations.

According to the same source, it was also requested to put water above the walls and on the window sills for thirsty birds and cats.
