Teen Survives Deadly Snake Bite After Rapid Anti-Venom Treatment in Morocco

An injection of anti-venom serum saves the life of a young girl recently victim of a snake bite. The Regional Health Directorate in Drâa-Tafilalet stated on Friday that the victim responded favorably and quickly to medical treatment.
Last Tuesday, the young girl, victim of a snake bite, was admitted, according to the MAP, to the Moulay Ali Chérif Regional Hospital in Errachidia, where she received the necessary care under the supervision of a medical and nursing staff.
A statement from the Health Directorate stated that she "received an injection of anti-venom serum, underwent a surgical operation on her foot and responded favorably and quickly to medical treatment".
After this step, the statement specifies that the patient was transferred, in good health, from the intensive care unit to the surgery department, in order to continue her treatment.
The teenager should leave the hospital in the coming days, according to the Health Directorate.
