Deadly Scorpion Stings Claim Lives of Two Young Girls in Morocco

Two young girls died this week in the regions of Tata and Settat. The cause of this tragedy: deadly scorpion stings.
Medical sources cited by Alyaoum24 report that the 5-year-old girl succumbed to scorpion stings after being taken on Monday to the intensive care unit of the Hassan II Regional Hospital in Settat to receive the necessary care.
As for the second victim, aged 10, she did not survive her injuries, in the absence of a resuscitation service at the local hospital in Tata. Rushed to the Hassan II Hospital in Agadir, which is 300 km from her locality, she died on the way.
Alerted by this tragedy, the local section of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH) in Tata denounced "an attack on the right to life". In the press release, the AMDH attributed the girl’s death to the deplorable state of the city’s health infrastructure.
