Danish Drug Trafficking Suspects Arrested in Tangier Following Interpol Warrant

Drug and psychotropic trafficking. This is the charge against two Danish nationals, arrested on Friday in Tangier, after an international arrest warrant. Their arrest was made possible by an operation carried out by the elements of the prefectural service of the judicial police of Tetouan, jointly with the Judicial Police Brigade of the port of Tangier.
These two Danish citizens, already in an irregular situation in Morocco, were apprehended in the city of the Strait.
A press release, made public on Saturday by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), indicated that the identification formalities of the two persons involved in the Interpol databases made it possible to know that they were wanted by the Danish justice system for their involvement in international drug trafficking cases.
Their arrest finally took place in Tangier, in an apartment, in the company of another Dane who was taking care of their accommodation in Morocco, while providing them with substantial logistical support, according to the DGSN. A large sum of money as well as Chira balls were discovered during the searches carried out by the police elements.
The suspects are now in custody, pending repatriation procedures. Their accomplice, on the other hand, is the subject of a preliminary investigation.
