Dakhla Bay in Morocco Joins Prestigious "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" Club

One of the most emblematic natural and tourist sites in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region has received international recognition. Through a letter from Michel Bujol, President of the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" Club, addressed to El Khattat Yanja, President of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Regional Council, the official entry of the Dakhla Gulf into the Club called "The Most Beautiful Bays in the World" was mentioned.
The Dakhla Bay, classified for some years as a "protected area" within the framework of the RAMSAR Convention on wetlands, has officially joined the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" Club, reports leseco.ma.
According to the same source, this inclusion aims to consolidate the efforts to make the region known in general, and its attractive gulf in particular. Furthermore, it is a question of promoting the singular natural and ecological potentials of this pearl of southern Morocco. It is also a matter of promoting this area of the national territory internationally.
With this integration, Morocco will also be able to promote the Dakhla destination, through sports tourism, in particular water sports, which have revealed the region internationally, discovery tourism (excursions in the desert) and ecotourism.
The right to vote and participate in the Club’s activities, the use of its slogan, the organization of the 2020 Congress, the registration of Dakhla in the next Club Congress, which will be held from October 16 to 20 in Toyama Bay (Japan) are, in particular, the other benefits related to this membership.
Created in Berlin in 1997, this Club is an international association that includes 27 member countries and 40 bays, including those of Agadir and Al Hoceima.
