Investments Surge in Morocco’s Dakhla Region as International Support Grows

Major achievements are underway in the Dakhla-Oued Dahab region. These large-scale investments are being made by many countries that have withdrawn their recognition of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), announced the Head of Government, Saad Eddine El Othmani, during the meeting organized by a government team currently visiting the region.
The investments initiated in the Dakhla-Oued Dahab region cover several sectors, including production. They are being implemented by these countries that have expressed their support for Morocco on the prejudicial issue of its territorial integrity.
For the Head of Government, these acts, carried out by these brotherly countries, aim at the development of the region. Proof of this, the GDP of Dakhla is the highest at the national level, with the consequent development of the region.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister returned to the development plan initiated by the King in the southern provinces in 2015. According to him, this stage is decisive in making the region a locomotive in the national development process, allowing, in the long run, the southern region of Morocco to become a link point between the Kingdom and its African neighbors.
