COVID-19 Outbreak Grows at French School in Casablanca, Multiple Classes Affected

Coronavirus infections at the Lyautey High School in Casablanca are piling up. Faced with this situation, the management of this French school has informed the parents of several classes.

Officially, even though no communication from the Lyautey High School explicitly mentions the contaminations within the establishment, a cross-checking of the messages received directly by the parents concerned makes it possible to deduce that at least three new cases have been detected at the end of the week.

In addition to the single case of contamination detected last week in a final year class, there is now, since the weekend, a new case in the final year, a student in the second year class and another case in the third year class. Currently, there are a total of 4 confirmed cases of contamination among the students of the Lyautey High School.

Faced with this situation, the establishment has communicated precise provisions to the parents of the students, namely to isolate the children who would have been in contact with the infected students and to submit them as soon as possible to a PCR test, the results of which will have to be communicated to the management of the establishment.

Already, it is envisaged for these students, a recourse to distance learning until the next school holidays of the All Saints’ Day festival.
